TL;DR: Mia Skeer, ISKA Super-Flyweight World Champion and UK No. 1 out of Salford Striking Academy in Greater Manchester, fought for the UK at Empire Fight Series 14 in Perth on 5 September 2026 and beat Fon Piggott on a decision. Her Phat Chats episode, filmed before the fight, is 17 questions in under 3 minutes: the hardest she's been hit, the scariest opponent, and her coach Mark Skeer called up for Round 6.

Mia Skeer vs Fon Piggott at Empire Fight Series 14

Empire Fight Series 14 was Australia vs the UK, Perth, 5 September 2026. Australia took the series 3 to 2 (Aus Muay Thai results). Every fighter on the card wore Supa Phat.

Mia's was the women's bout. UK corner, Royal Blue, against Fon Piggott of GTG Perth, and she took it on the judges' cards (here's how Muay Thai fights are scored). Empire's tale of the tape had her at 11 fights and 9 wins going in, so Perth made it 10 from 12. Add the ISKA super-flyweight world title from April and 2 wins at Rajadamnern in the last 12 months.

Phat Chats is our quickfire interview series. A pro fight runs 5 rounds of 3 minutes. Round 6 is the 3 extra minutes after the bell. 17 questions, one clock, and the fighter picks who sits in the chair next. Robbie Mars filmed Mia's in Perth before the fight, on a fold-out chair by the Swan River.

The 3 extra minutes

Hardest you've ever been hit?

Mia: Probably Gabriele Moram. It was on a Road to ONE tournament. She's probably the strongest fighter I've ever fought.

Scariest opponent you've ever faced?

Mia: She was called Petchtapee. She was a Thai girl, but it was at a lot of a higher weight than usual. So I'd say that was the most scary.

Best knockout of your career?

Mia: I haven't actually had a professional knockout, but one of my old amateur ones. I can't really remember any.

Favourite fighter of all time?

Mia: Allycia Rodrigues, one of my favourites. I'd say her.

Best fight you've ever seen?

Mia: Allycia Rodrigues versus Stamp Fairtex was a good fight. One of my favourites.

Most up & coming Muay Thai fighter right now?

Mia: Me.

Muay Thai to you in one sentence?

Mia: It's my whole life. It means everything to me.

Quickfire: punch, kick, elbow or knee?

Mia: Kick.

Quickfire: clinch or range?

Mia: Range.

Quickfire: body kick or head kick?

Mia: Head kick.

Quickfire: teep or low kick?

Mia: Teep.

Quickfire: pads or sparring?

Mia: Sparring.

Quickfire: fight in Thailand or at home?

Mia: Thailand.

Quickfire: aggressive or counter fighter?

Mia: A bit of both.

Quickfire: power or speed?

Mia: Speed.

Biggest Muay Thai advice to your younger self?

Mia: Just keep being confident and keep believing in yourself.

Who should do Round 6 next?

Mia: Yeah, my coach.

More Phat Chats
