Picked up a pair of the white gloves at the empire fight series show last month and they're legit. My old hyabusas got a bit loose on the palm and feel heavy as compared to these so pretty happy. Have ordered some of the new sentinal shinnies online in the same colour to match.

Absolutely Awesome Gloves

Always felt it was a bit of a risk switching to a different brand (been using fairtex for years) but these Sentinel gloves are something else, comfortable (real leather as well), Sturdy and the additional padding down the sides (blade) makes a big difference ( got alot more leeway when a kick contacts on the wrist/side of hand). *also the velcro strap right on the money haven't had a scratch when covering up or in those awkward spots where most straps tend to catch or overhang!

Unlike our tshirts, gloves don't come in the more conventional Small, Medium & Large sizes. Gloves come in weights, with the right weight determined by the use-case of your gloves - bag work, sparring, etc.

Traditionally, glove weight have been picked proportionate to the weight of the fighter. Nowadays, it's based on modality.

If you're punching things - like pads and bags - go for a lighter glove like 10's and 12's (less padding and more durability). If you're hitting people - like in sparring - go for a bigger glove (16's).

For a rule of thumb, beginners go for a 12oz. When you're settled into the sport, want to treat yourself to a new set and take up sparring, grab a pair of 16oz.

TIP: Don't worry if there's a bit of room in your gloves when you first try them on, as wraps also take up a little space.

Keep these babies away from the washer, and ensure that everything that goes inside the glove is clean as a whistle. If you make sure your wraps and hands are clean, and you leave your gloves in the wind and sun a little while after training, you'll be right as rain.
